We didn’t want a setting that was just “good enough.” We wanted a setting that felt right — for the child, for the parent, and for the people doing the work every day.

I’m Steph the 'Mother' of Wonderbloom. I am a childcare professional with over 15 years in the childcare sector. I’m also a sleep consultant, a childcare recruiter, a mum of four, and the eldest of nine. Caring for others is something I’ve done my whole life — not just in work, but in who I am, inside out.

And when I couldn’t find the kind of nursery I wanted for my child, I decided to build it.

We’re fully compliant. Of course we are. But we don’t hide behind policy.

Instead, we adapt policies when needed, review them regularly, and make sure they serve our setting and all our children — not just the system they were written for.

If a policy doesn’t make sense for our cohort, we look again. If a process feels clunky, we simplify it. If a child’s experience would improve by changing one small thing — we’ll change it. That’s the difference here.
