Choosing childcare involves two decisions: finding a setting where your child feels comfortable, and finding an attendance pattern that works for your family.

At Wonderbloom in Woking, we offer both year-round day nursery care and term-time preschool. They share our ethos and commitment to strong relationships, with different hours and attendance options.

When day nursery may suit you

Day nursery is worth considering if you need care throughout the year or a longer day around work and other commitments.

Our day nursery welcomes children aged nine months to four years and operates for 50 weeks a year. Core sessions run from 8am–5.30pm, with early and late options extending the day to 7.30am–6pm.

Children have time to play, explore, eat, rest and build relationships within their nursery day.

Before choosing your sessions, consider your whole routine—including travel time and collection arrangements.

When term-time preschool may suit you

Term-time preschool may suit families looking for a shorter day that follows the school-term pattern.

Our preschool welcomes children aged two to four, with sessions from 9am–2pm, Monday–Friday, during 38 weeks of the year.

It offers opportunities to develop friendships, communication, independence and confidence through purposeful play.

Think about how you will manage afternoons and school holidays, particularly if your working pattern continues throughout the year.

What both options share

Both are part of Wonderbloom, with small groups, strong relationships and our Be Kinder curriculum.

The choice is about the attendance pattern that meets your needs. Both options support children’s learning and development.

Questions to ask before deciding

  • Which days and hours do we need?

  • Do we need childcare during school holidays?

  • Are our preferred sessions available?

  • How would funding apply to those sessions?

  • What would our total costs be?

  • How will our child be supported when starting?

Write down your essential requirements before visiting. That makes it easier to compare options and ask useful questions.
